Handshake RSS Feed/API Key Retrieval and Recipe Set-up

Handshake has step-by-step instructions to successfully configure and generate a public link for a RSS feed.

Once the instructions are completed and a link for the RSS feed has been generated, save this link as it will be essential when running the Handshake recipe on Pathify.  If you need to regenerate the link again for any reason, you can do so from here.

Note: The link should be embedded in a RSS feed widget to get the xml in a readable format.

You will need to contact Handshake support to request an API key after the public RSS feed link has been generated. Request an API key for this external RSS feed so that Pathify receives a feed of jobs, events, etc. to display them on Pathify.

Note: The API key only needs to be connected to your RSS feed and will not be used in the Handshake recipe.

• Do you have the RSS link you generated in your Handshake admin portal?
• Did you request the API key for external RSS feeds you generated?
• Your Handshake API is now ready for use on Pathify!
• Navigate to 'Installed Widgets' in Pathify to configure visibility settings, who can view the widget, and more!
• Follow these easy steps to successfully complete integration of the Handshake recipe on Pathify:

User Options > Admin Center > Integrations & Widgets > Recipe Library 

Select the Handshake Widget in the Widget Library.

Select the 'Enable/Disable mock data' switch so it is disabled. This will enable you to enter the RSS feed URL that has been provided by Handshake.

Select 'Submit' at the bottom of the screen. The Handshake widget is now fully activated and ready for use!
